Configuring the software via the 'Options.XXX' file

The BakersSoftware software has many default settings as well as a lot of advanced functionality. All these can be set in file 'Options.XXX'. You can simply edit this file in Windows notepad or any other ASCI (=simple) editor.

The 'Options.XXX' file is read by the software at start-up so any changes, that are not saved before the software is started, will not come into effect until the software restarted.

The format of all the options is very simple. There is: the name of the option or setting, followed by '#=#' and then followed by the intended value for the option or setting. Just look at the 'Options.XXX' file and you'll get the idea.

You will notice that some options (or setting) are preceded by a '_'. This disables that option (or setting) and will result in the default setting being used. Unless of course, the option is set somewhere else in the file without the '_'.

You will also notice that many options where you would expect a 'Yes' or a 'No' have a '1' or a '0'. Basically the '0' stands for 'No' and the '1' stands for 'Yes'.
